IUPUI vs UMKC Game Notes

Tonight is a big game for IUPUI. Coming off of a 61-60 loss at ORU, the Jags look to bounce back against the Fighting 'Roos. When IUPUI visited UMKC, four of us drove out to see the game. Besides experiencing "Kansas City" (where at Saturday around 5PM the city is basically shut down), we saw a Jags team that was not ready to play - They fell behind early and had to claw their way back into the game, narrowly escaping with a 1-point victory. The four of us were about 300x louder than the entirety of their student "section" (The Roo Crew) that showed up with around 15:00 to go in the second half...Apparently they follow the game online and if it's close they drive over (or something). For our end of the home-home series, we have a BLACK OUT planned in coordination with the retirement of former IUPUI great and current Spurs standout George Hill (GH3!!).
These last four games are HUGE for the Jags heading into the Summit League Tournament - A final home-stand against UMKC and Southern Utah, then up to the Dakotas for two games (South Dakota State [who, being Jackrabbits, are not scary] & NDSU). Four wins could propel the streaky team through the Summit Tourney into the NCAA Big Dance, anything less could be disastrous.
I'll be live-tweeting as much as I can at the game tonight, follow me (@RedZoneIUPUI) for in-game updates DIRECTLY from the REDZONE!
