Lauren O'Dell
Major: Journalism

Role: Editor-in-Chief
Background: Lauren has worked in many editorial position throughout high school and continuing into college. She has attended numerous editorial workshops throughout the country and actively applies her knowledge to the monthly editions of the Campus Citizen.

Kim Mezger
Major: English; Writing and Literacy Concentration
Class Standing: Senior
Role: Managing Editor
Background: Kim has been writing and editing for many years - first in Air Force Public Affairs, then as a paralegal, and now as an English student and founding member of the Campus Citizen. Upon graduation, Kim plans to work in the non-profit sector and continue on towards a Masters in Philanthropic Studies. 

Michael Hadley
Major: History, focus in US Sectional Conflict in the 1800s
Minor: Religious Studies
Class Standing: Junior
Role: Sports and Wellness Desk Editor, Online Content Editor, Director of Social Media, Women's Basketball Beat Writer
Background: Michael has been covering IUPUI sports for three years, adding freelance work for everything from local high school sports section (Banner Graphic in Putnam County) to national college basketball websites (CollegeInsider.com), in addition to working as a music writer for IndyConcerts.com.

Mitchell Smith
Major: Journalism and French
Minor: Philosophy
Class Standing: Junior
Role: Business Manager, Distribution Manager
Background: Mitchell has been studying journalism for the past three years at IUPUI. During its short existence, Mitchell wrote for IUPUI Student Media. In addition to his managerial duties with the Campus Citizen, he covers the IUPUI Police Department. After graduation, Mitchell plans to join the Peace Corps and work as a news reporter.

Kelsey Renbarger
Major: Journalism/Public Relations

Role: Desk Editor, Swimming & Diving Beat Writer
Background: Kelsey has worked in sports management since High School and hopes to continue her love of sports writing after graduation. She just accepted a job offer with the Indianapolis Star working in the sports journalism department and is the beat reporter for IUPUI Swimming and Diving. Kelsey is also a beat writer for Lawrence Township, covering 11 Elementary Schools.


Hannah Michelson
Majors: Journalism, Jewish Studies
Class Standing: Senior
Role: Art Director
Background: Hannah began as a writer for her high school yearbook and newspaper and joined the staff of IU Bloomington's Indiana Daily Student. There, she changed direction and began working in page desigh. Hannah was worked for multiple publications, agencies and a book publishing company. She joins the IUPUI Campus Citizen as a temporary transfer student from IU Bloomington.


Nicole Best
Major: Journalism with a focus in Public Relations
Minor: Advertising
Class Standing: Junior
Role: Public Relations Director 
Background: Nicole has been the director of public relations in other organizations that she is involved in. She is using all of the tactics and techniques she has learned throughout the years and applying them to the Campus Citizen.

Stevie Deal

Role: Staff Writer
Background: Stevie spent three years as a journalism major before deciding public relations was her true calling. She has written for livethescene.com and occasionally photographs concerts in the Indianapolis area.

Candis Cunningham
Major: Sports Journalism
Class Standing: Graduate Student
Role: Men's Basketball Beat Writer
Background: Candis has been a reporter for HoosierAuthority.com for high school sports as well as internships with the Indianapolis Recorder and WISH TV Channel 8. Candis received her BA in Journalism from IUPUI and is completing her final year as a graduate student for sports journalism.


Stephanie Metcalf

Minor: Anthropology and Classical Studies
Class Standing: Sophomore
Role: Staff Writer
Background: Stephanie wrote for her high school's yearbook and newspaper and served on the editorial board for the yearbook and as editer-in-chief of the newspaper.


Brittany Stewart
Major: Journalism
Minor: Communication Studies
Class Standing: Senior
Role: Staff Writer
Background: Brittany is the president of the National Association of Black Jouralists Student Chapter. She has written for the Indianapolis Recorder,Goddess Magazine and Interned at WISH-TV. She has also attended numerous writing workshops as well as networking with professionals all over the country.
