Game Summary
The Summit League’s #1 seed took care of business against UMKC tonight, putting the ‘Roos away (SCORE) in the opening game of the tournament. Benson, the League’s Player of the Year, was imposing inside (collecting 13 rebounds), while Sophomore Latreze Mushatt went for 13 and 8 in a losing effort. UMKC ends the season at 12-18 while Oakland advances to the Summit League Semi-finals to take on the winner of South Dakota State and IPFW on Monday night.

What This Win Means...
Oakland can play, but tapering off from 3 and foul trouble for Benson and Larry Wright doesn't bode well if they're going to compete with teams down the stretch. They need to keep those two on the court and do better than 0-for the second half from deep.
