Player of the Game: Leroy Nobles, IUPUI.
Leroy had a great game, going for 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. But much more importantly, he scored his 1,000th point. As he pointed out in the video I posted yesterday, he was recruited for his defense. Not bad, Roy. Keep it up.
Sixth Man of the Game: Leo Davis, Centenary
On a team where pretty much everyone is fighting for minutes, Leo came off the bench and played 32 minutes. In that time he went for 13 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists, and just 1 turnover.
Stat of the Game: 8-16
Centenary, a typically horrible team from superhoopland, connected half of their attempts on the night. Five of those were drained in the last six minutes of the game. As Head Coach Adam Walsh said, "finally shot it well." Indeed your guys did, sir.

Et Cetera...
- Smooth is back!!! After he seemed to be collecting technical fouls (3 in two games...), Anthony was in the game and even made the highlight reel in eight minutes. Yeah!!!
- Nick DeSchepper is really stepping up. He's still a role player, but he is doing what it takes to stay on the floor. Four assists tonight plus clutch freethrows at the end of the game should mean he gets good playing time moving forward.
- Word is we had three rows standing in the student section. That's two more than normal! Yah!

Review: Keys to the Game
1) Win Big. (Almost.)
The score was closer at the end than the flow of the game should have dictated, and lots of bench guys got some really important floor time. Good, not great.
2) Continued Development Of The Bigs. (Sort of.)
Mitchell scored the first nine points of the game for IUPUI. Donovan really didn't have much of an impact besides being on the receiving end of an alley-oop. Christian picked up two fouls and committed two turnovers in ten minutes. Anthony did well on the defensive glass but was just 1-4 from the floor.
3) Who Will Be The Third Guard? (YEP!)
Nick DeSchepper. Absolutely. He has a little trouble taking the ball up the court, but his play alongside Stephen makes a lot of sense. Both are a hybrid 1-2 guard, Stephen being better coming up the court and dribbling, Nick being better at distributing quickly. Not to mention Nick's ice cold demeanor on the foul line.
4) 55% FG; 80% FT; 40% 3P. (No.)
44.8% FG; 81.8% FT; 33.3% 3P.
