(3) ORU 65 - (6) NDSU 64 [OT]

Game Summary
It took the defending Summit champions (North Dakota State) nearly 14 minutes to come back from a 13-point deficit, but Michael Tveidt was able to put the ball in with :14 left in regulation to force Oral Roberts into overtime Sunday night. ORU was able to pull out the win, however, even though they didn't score in the last 1:36 of the extra period. Sam Sussenguth was able to score with :10 to play to bring the Bison within 1, and following a Dominique Morrison missed freebie they had a chance to win it. Unfortunately Nate Zastrow missed a 16-footer as time ran out and the Golden Eagles were able to hang on. They'll play IUPUI Monday night in the Summit League Semifinal.

It was over when…
...Nate Zastrow took a wild shot that bounced off the side of the rim as time expired in OT.

Player of the Game
Michael Tveidt, NDSU
In 41 minutes: 22 points (9-17, 2-4, 2-4) 7 REB, 3 STL, 1 BLK, and unlimited hustle though the entire game.

Stat of the Night
There were 9 players on each players with 6+ rebounds, but 0 players with 10+ rebounds. Kevin Ford lead the way with 9.

What This Win Means...
ORU is off to play IUPUI Monday night, a rubber game to determine the season-series. IUPUI won at home overtime, but ORU was able to edge the Jags in Tulsa. Unfortunately the Golden Eagles, who were already depleted, played a long and hard-fought game last night. It will be interesting to see how Scott Sutton's team responds tonight against a well rested Jaguars club.
