Key Matchup

IUPUI Freethrow Shooting
vs
SUU Fouling
The Jaguars are consistantly in games because of their solid freethrow shooting. Alex, Leroy, Christian, Stephen, John, Mitch, Nick, and Anthony are all shooting over 73%, and as a team they are at 76.6% for the year...13th in the nation. Southern Utah is a good foul shooting team, too, hitting 71.6% of their freebies, but they're fouling 7 more times per game (22.4-15.2). SUU needs to keep their fouls down, while IUPUI will be looking to capitalize on each opportunity at the line.

Keys To The Game

Trying to be a "Glass Half-Full"
guy, except my glass is slowly
losing water. COME ON YOU
JAGUARS
1) WIN. A. ROAD. GAME.
Besides beating IPFW, IUPUI is winless on the road in Summit League play. UMKC should've been an easy win, but now the trip to the Daktoas in a few weeks feels more like a horrifying gauntlet than a road trip. They've got to win this game.

2) Distribute.
I feel like a broken record, but come on. One player can't have 50% of your points. And two players shouldn't have 67% of your made buckets. The rest of the team is extremely capable, but it seems they're just standing around while others score. They've got to find the open man instead of having Alex, force the issue.

3) Get The Subs Good Minutes.
The key subs - Mitch, Donovan, Sean, Anthony, and P.J. - need to see some big minutes and perform well in their time off the bench. The way the starters looked after the game Thursday showed me exactly how badly the bench needs to start stepping up: Tired eyes, walking slowly, et cetera. I wouldn't mind seeing zero people playing more than 33 minutes tonight.

4) 46% FG; 80% FT; 35% 3P.
All are just over the season average. If they hit these marks, they'll be successful in Cedar City.
